The sleepy Magaliesburg area seems to have skipped the surge of development which has occurred an hour away in Johannesburg. This area makes for a wonderful weekend getaway or a good place to host an event as your delegates too can enjoy the points of interest close by. The Cradle of Humankind is a World Heritage Site and well worth a stop. Also in the surroundings is the Hartebeespoort Dam which like to Vaal has become a bit of a playground for water sports enthusiasts.

Nestled in the hills of the Swartkop Mountains in the serenity of Kromdraai Valley, Misty Hills Country Hotel, Conference Centre and Spa embodies the spirit of South Africa. Surrounded by forest and grasslands, this charming Johannesburg hotel is spread over 60 magnificent acres in Muldersdrift. Set on the edge of the Heritage Site, The Cradle of Humankind, Misty Hills is 25kms from Johannesburg and 15 minutes from Lanseria Airport.


Avianto consists of the Village Hotel, the well-known Banquet Hall with its charming and beautiful non-denominational Chapel, a magnificent Ballroom, the Fireside Room for a more intimate function, and the state-of-the-art Conference Centres, consisting of six separate conference rooms and a lounge. A magnificent Qolf Course and Club House and newly built Cafe Cielo complete the picture.

CONFERENCING AND ACCOMMODATION

The Hotel at Avianto is set slightly apart from the main function venues. The communal nature of the village is designed to connect people for the duration of their stay - not separate them into numbered cubicles filled with their escape mechanism of choice. The Village Hotel can accommodate 68 delegates in 29 luxury rooms and 5 suites.

Avianto offers you a choice of venues for your conferences, seating from 2 to 300 delegates depending on the seating arrangement and room selected. Standard equipment is available in each venue and includes a flipchart/whiteboard, screen, notepads, pens, cordials, water and mints. Any additional specialized equipment, secretarial services, or conference arrangements can be arranged at additional cost.

The Banquet Hall

The hiring of the Banquet Hall allows for use of all facilities.

The venue hire of the Banquet Hall includes the following facilities in addition to our standard conference equipment:

Fully Equipped Kitchen, Podium, Fireplace, 2 Couches, Coffee Table, Fully Equipped Bar, Male and Female Toilet Facilities, Paraplegic Toilet Facilities, Full Lighting Features (with dimmers), Fixed Candle Features including candles, Easel for display, Air Conditioning System (cooling and heating), Private Patio, Fountain and Roman Courtyard (between Chapel and Banquet Hall)

The Ballroom

The hiring of the Ballroom includes the following facilities in addition to our standard conference equipment : Fully Equipped Kitchen, Podium, Two Fireplaces, Reception and Fully Equipped Bar Area (including an additional Fireplace), Male and Female Toilet Facilities, Paraplegic Toilet Facilities (Male and Female), Full Lighting Features (with Dimmers), Fixed Candle Features including candles, Four Candelabras including candles, Under Floor Heating throughout venue, Easel for display, Private surround patio

The Fireside Room

In the event that the Ballroom and its attached facilities have not been reserved exclusively, the Fireside Room provides the perfect setting for a smaller conference. Unfortunately the hiring of this venue does not allow for exclusivity of the entire venue (including the toilet facilities and bar areas), but due to the nature of the design the Fireside Room does allow for absolute privacy. Facilities included in the hire of this venue, in addition to the standard conference equipment, are as follows :

Conference Centre Three, Four and Five.

The hiring of the Conference Centre includes the following facilities in addition to our standard conference equipment: Podium, Male and Female Toilet Facilities, Paraplegic Toilet Facilities (Male and Female), Full Lighting Features, Easel for display, Private patio
